52 books in 52 Weeks, Facebook, feature ideas, Giveaways, Michelle Davidson Argyle, music industry sales, reading challenge, The Band Perry, The Band Perry "You Lie", True Colors and Other Short Stories by Michelle Davidson Argyle, Yahoo News
Well, so far 2012 is off to a great and productive start. I went out to shoot a few pictures for “That Photo Blog”, have my first #52BooksIn52Weeks book read, edited the first five chapters of my NaNo book and have kept up the blogging. Really hoping that I can keep up the pace.
The first book I read for the 52 Books reading challenge was Michelle Davidson Argyle’s True Colors and Other Short Stories. I’ll be posting my thoughts on it Friday. In case you missed my earlier post, all my 52 Weeks books will be reviewed on Fridays so make sure to stop by and discover some new reading material! Follow my Facebook Page to find out what book is on tap for that week as well as links to where you can find them.
In 2012, I really want to increase the interaction here as well as the number of giveaways I host. If you’re a PR firm, Author or Musician who would like to have an interview done or host a giveaway, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
If you have any ideas for different things you’d like to see featured, comment and tell me about it. I’m also looking for some new feature ideas as well. Help me make 2012 a great year and thanks again for the support I’ve gotten over the past year! Before I head out, I would like to share a couple of links for you. First, looks like 2011 went out with a bang for the music industry. Sales were up for the first time since 2004. On the flip side, here’s an interesting article where several insiders reflect on what has hurt the movie industry in the past few years. I have to say that I especially love Mr. Medavoy’s comments on remakes and mixing the business side with the artistic side.
So what are your thoughts on the Movie and Music Industries? Is there anything coming out this year you’re excited about? Comment back and let’s chat about it. I leave you now with some music by The Band Perry, whose CD I’ll be talking about tomorrow. Enjoy!
