Today’s post marks the last time music comes to the A to Z blogging challenge here. If you haven’t done so yet, please drop by the page (after you read this of course 🙂 ) and show the other bloggers some love. Today I bring you a trio that is making a few headlines again after mostly being dormant since their early 90s glory. Can you guess who I’m talking about?

W is for Wilson Phillips. The trio was made up uf Wendy, Carnie and Chynna. They were the daughters of music royalty and old friends who discovered a love of singing together. Wendy and Carnie were the daughters of Brian Wilson (The Beach Boys), while Chynna’s parents were half of The Mamas and the Papas (Michelle and John Phillips). Looking back, Carnie is clearly the real vocalist of the group, but they could harmonize their butts off. There’s no denying that these three singing in unison is something to hear. I especially loved their songs “Hold On”, “Release Me”, “Fueled for Houston” and “Don’t Take Me Down”.

Were you a fan of them back in the day? Have you been following this recent comeback? Do you have an entirely different “W” to share? Comment and let’s chat…
