“You’re so mean when you talk about yourself; you are wrong. Change the voices in your head; make them like you instead.” — Pink, “Perfect”

This line has stuck with me since the first time I head it. Who hasn’t sat in judgment of themselves, convinced that they’re not pretty enough, successful enough, strong enough, etc.? It’s such a destructive habit we can’t seem to avoid at one point or another. This song tells us we are good enough, no matter what– even if we can’t see it all the time. I spent most of high school thinking that for a lot of reasons, but over the years I have slowly worked toward shutting out the negative voices.  If you’re interested in learning some of the things I have done to help stop that, or would like to share your own tips and experience, comment below. 🙂 Let’s chat about it.

What other songs about this issue are among your favorites? What line from a song has stuck with you? I’d love to chat about it! Until next time!
