This was one of my favorite shows, so it was cool to hear a little behind-the-scenes stuff. 🙂 I just hope that she finally gives us those four words. LOL.


Gilmore Girls creator Amy Sherman-Palladino was ahead of the curve when she wanted to cast Melissa McCarthy as Sookie St. James. Sherman-Palladino told an audience at the ATX Television Festival in Austin that she “had to fight” for McCarthy, according to Deadline’s PMC sibling TVLine. This would be the same McCarthy that has what looks like this weekend’s No. 1 movie at the box office (Spy) plus other hit movies (The Heat, Bridesmaids) and a second hit TV series (Mike & Molly) under her belt since Gilmore Girls ended in 2007.
