Ruler of DemonsRuler of Demons by Scott A. Lerner

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

NOTE: I received a free copy for review as part of a blog tour.

I went into this book completely blind, not even looking at the synopsis before I read it so I had no idea what to expect going in. This is part of a series of books detailing the adventures of a lawyer named Sam who gets drawn into strange cases involving the supernatural.

This time, he is hired by a mysterious and powerful firm to look into a series of ritual murders. While it took me a little bit to get into the flow of the book, I was glad I stuck around for the ride. Sam’s a fun character who inhabits a world full of them. Their interactions are natural and entertaining and the tension builds nicely as the book progresses. I found myself anxious to see how it all turned out and ended up reading it in a day. I recommend this for anyone who likes a good mystery with religious overtones.
